Bo Jangles

ADOPTED

CATEGORY: Rideable

AGE: 12

GENDER: Gelding

HEIGHT: 16

BREED: Quarter/Arab Cross

Bio: This handsome, stout boy came to us as an owner surrender by an elderly gentleman who just couldn't care for him anymore. This boy is easy to catch, halter, lead and load in a trailer. He stands tied, loves attention and being groomed. He is super cute and knows it so when the farrier works on him he tries to get away with moving away but once he knows he won't get away with it he will stand fine. He is broke to ride, we have even gotten on him bareback. He just needs a little more confidence and he is going to make an amazing pleasure/trail/gymkhana horse for someone.

Chance

ADOPTED

CATEGORY: Rideable

AGE: 21

GENDER: Gelding

HEIGHT: 16.2

BREED: Thoroughbred (Off the Track)

Bio: This gentle giant came to us from a case in Eastern Colorado. Sometimes a name comes to us with ease, Chance was a perfect example. We were going to give this sweet boy a "Second Chance" at life and to know love. When he arrived at the rescue, he only weighed 918 lbs. Grossly underweight and malnourished we were not sure if he would even be alive the next morning when we came in. Chance lives up to his name though and he is a fighter. We were so happy to see his personality come back as he gained weight and that OTTB spunk. He can be caught, haltered, lead and loaded in a trailer. He will lounge in both directions and stands tied (although he may have that typical racehorse shimmy) while tied. He loves to be groomed and sprayed down with the hose. He is good for the vet and tolerates the farrier well. He will need an experienced handler/rider as he is a lot of horse to handle.

Rin

CATEGORY: Sound not broke

AGE: 3

GENDER: Filly

HEIGHT: 13.1

BREED: Paint/Arab Cross

Bio: This little girl is as cute as they come. She came to us from a case in Eastern Colorado. We really don't know how she is even still here. She can be caught, haltered, lead and loaded in a trailer. She lounges in both directions. She is not broke to ride due to her age and just now ready to start working with getting used to a saddle. She is ready for you to finish her in any direction you wish to take her. She would make a perfect little horse for a teenager who is experienced with horses and training and wants to raise and break their own horse from the ground up. She is very responsive and loves attention. So..... do you have the perfect home for this little girl?????

Ronin

CATEGORY: Rideable (Light Rider)

AGE: 20

GENDER: Gelding

HEIGHT: 15.3

BREED: Appendix

Bio: Ronin came to us on an owner surrender from an elderly lady who was physically not able to care for him anymore. He is a mature boy who does have some slight arthritis, so we will require that he only has a light rider on him. He can be caught, haltered, lead and loaded in a trailer. He will stand for the vet. He is broke to ride but is very forward so he will need a confident and experienced handler/rider. We were told that at one point he was a working ranch horse, but he has displayed some racehorse tendencies while in our care, so we are not sure if at one point he wasn't also a race horse. He does not have a tattoo, but there are unfortunately many "underground" race tracks around the country that he could have raced at. He does love to get brushed and play in his water as well. He is a super sweet boy just looking for a home to call his own.

Ceasar

CATEGORY: Sound not broke

AGE: 3

GENDER: Gelding

HEIGHT: 14.1

BREED: Quarter/Morgan Cross

Bio: Ceaser (aka Rico Suave) is a young gelding who likes to think he is the alpha horse in the herd. We often joke that he is like that boy in junior high that all the girls had a crush on. He came to us from one of our partner rescues in Texas. He is 100% sound, but not yet broke to ride because of his age. He can be caught, haltered, lead and loaded in a trailer. He will lounge in both directions and enjoys a good brushing. He is ready for someone to take him in any direction they choose. He is tolerable of the vet and farrier but with age that will get better. He will need a confident/experienced handler/rider because of his age and some of his juvenile behaviors. Are up to the challenge and want this handsome boy to join your herd and train him from the ground up? Will you give him a forever home and love on him for many years to come?

Beauty

CATEGORY: Sound not broke

AGE: 15

GENDER: Mare

HEIGHT: 15.2

BREED: Quarter Horse

Bio: This "Beauty" came to us from an owner surrender by an elderly woman who was physically not able to care for her any more. She is 100% sound, but not broke to ride. She can be a little timid at first, but once she gets to know you and trusts you she is your best friend. She requires a little more patience to be caught and haltered, but once that is done she will lead and load in to a trailer just fine. She will lounge in both directions. She did require to be sedated for the farrier, but we believe it was because she had just arrived to the rescue and was still pretty nervous about everything. We believe she can be broke and would make for an excellent trail or even working horse. She will need someone who is confident and advanced in their horsemanship skills. Is that you? Are you willing to give this Beauty her forever home and love on her?

PATCHES

CATEGORY: Sound not broke

AGE: 15

GENDER: Mare

HEIGHT: 15.2

BREED: Registered Paint

Bio: Our beautiful grulla and white one-eyed girl. This girl came to us as an owner surrender and we had her go up to Blue River for six months of intensive training last year. We were so excited for her to come back and get adopted, but then she suffered an injury to her right eye. We tried our best to save her eye, but ultimately it had to be removed. This, however, has not slowed her down one beat. She does require a little more patience to catch and halter her, but once she is haltered she leads and loads in a trailer fine. She requires a little more patience from the vet and farrier, just because she only can see on one side of her body and things are a little more scary for her. We do believe that she can be broke to ride by the right person. Just because she has one eye does not make her any less of a horse, and does not mean she can't have a job. She is definitely a one person horse, as she finds someone she feels comfortable with and connects and bonds to that person. Do you think that person is you? Would you like to give this sweet girl a forever home?
