To become a volunteer at NSHR you must attend a 2 hour orientation.

Orientations are held on Saturdays from 10am to noon.

Due to COVID only have 6 spots open in our class.

Please fill out the form below to RSVP your spot!

Your time is a gift, and we are infinitely grateful that our volunteers choose to spend part of their days with us. Together is the only way we can build a better future for horses.  All experience levels are welcome. Volunteers are required to volunteer two times a week for a minimum of 4 hours. Youth volunteers between the ages of 10 and 17 are required to volunteer with a parent or guardian.

Group volunteers

Military groups, businesses, clubs, scouts and organizations can contact us to organize a group farm help day during which you can all work together for the benefit of the horses. We always have many projects in the works to help us maintain and improve the facility. Organized volunteer groups assist us in accomplishing many goals throughout the year.

Community Service

Are you interested in performing community service?  Do you want examples of service projects you can do here at NSHR? Community service is a great way to help us, help the horses in our program and it can also help you gain skills and experience to include on your resume and college applications. Contact us for more information and court ordered community service hours.
